Building a two block high wall facing towards the enemies will provide protection from knock back. Youre able to jump up and shoot arrows at players who might be in this position:

Sky Wars is an unbelievably fast game mode. Most fights happen within minutes of the game beginning.
You need to put yourself in a position to get a kill within a few moments of hitting the ground. It will catch the enemy player off guard resulting in an early kill.
